あることの夢

パゾリーニが1962年に発表した小説「IL SOGNO DI UNA COSA あることの夢」は、そのタイトルをマルクスの手紙のなかから採っている。その出典となる文は、巻頭に引用されている。
　「われわれの標語は、したがって、こうなくてはならない。すなわち、ドグマ（教義）によってではなく、自分自身にも明らかではない意識-それが宗教的形態のもとで現れようとも、あるいは政治的形態のもとで現れようとも-、そうした意識の分析によって、意識を変革することである。そのとき、世界は久しい以前からあることの夢を抱いているのだということが明らかになるだろう…。
Hence, our motto must be: reform of consciousness not through dogmas, but by analysing the mystical consciousness that is unintelligible to itself, whether it manifests itself in a religious or a political form.It will then become evident that the world has long dreamed of possessing something of which it has only to be conscious in order to possess it in reality.」
